The depth of the trench shall be a minimum of 24″ to the top of the cable or conduit. A red electric caution tape shall be placed 12″ above the cable or conduit. How deep should the cable be under asphalt/concrete (driveways, sidewalks)? The depth of the cable shall be 24″ under asphalt/concrete driveways or sidewalks. The cable shall be protected with in pipe (PVC or rigid).
