How deep do burning bush roots grow?

The roots don’t grow significantly deep. When you dig it out stay about two feet away from the base of the bush. Basically you want to preserve a root ball that is four feet in diameter and two feet deep. You won’t get all the roots but you will get the important ones. I moved two burning bushes at my house two years ago. They had been there for almost ten years. They are both alive and perfectly healthy. Just make sure it gets plenty of water for the first summer.
