February 10, 2010 (WLS) — A 3.8-magnitude earthquake has hit Illinois, with the epicenter just west of Elgin. The quake officially hit at 3:59:34 a.m. Wednesday. The epicenter was situated in west suburban Kane County, eight miles underground.
