How crucial was this spring season when last years team was filled with so many young players?
“With that many freshmen, they have definitely bonded. There is such great chemistry with this new group, not only with each other, but with the older players as well. Then, with Sarah Kozey and Melanie Schneider just finishing up their second years and Ali Hunt being our most experienced player — it has made things very competitive.” What were your expectations heading into the spring and more specifically in the ACC Spring Tourney? “I definitely wanted to go into the ACC tournament seriously. My individual goal was to win it, but I did not put that on the players. I am trying to get away from putting pressure on the players as far as the ACC and how they approach those games. Last year, there was a lot pressure involved in each game. I just told them before the games to play as well as they can, play hard, try to improve and see what results we get.
