The Atlantic Ocean provides a warm and dry climate. This climate has resulted in high yields for Spanish grapes. La Rioja is the most famous wine region in Spain. It focuses on red wines; this region is also called as Napa Valley of Spain. Sherry fortified wine is also best-known Spanish wine which is produced in the region of Jerez de la Frontera. Other wine regions include: Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Priorato, Cava and Penedès. Moving across the Mediterranean coast there are a number of regions, recently, Priorato made exciting wines.
