How could differences in perception be a source of difficulities and conflicts?
Practically every war in recorded history was caused by religious conflict, such as the holy wars in medieval times (crusades as you may know them), the colonial witch hunts are another example. And the nuclear situation with Iran-differences in perception over their right to nuclear power, and also most bar fights are a good example.
