The abolition of the Sabbath was accomplished when Jesus took away the Old Covenant and gave us a New Covenant. “By calling this covenant ‘new,’ he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear” (Hebrews 8:13). The entire Old Covenant including its sign is obsolete. The 7th day Sabbath was the sign of the Old Covenant not the New (see Exodus 31:13, 16-17; Ezekiel 20:12, 20). Did Paul keep the Sabbath or did he go to the synagogues to preach Christ to a captive audience? Paul going to the synagogue to preach Christ is no reason for Christians today to keep the Sabbath.
