How could a reclassification of a position affect an incumbents salary?

0

A. If a position is reclassified to a position with a higher classified grade, the incumbent’s salary would increase 6% or to the entry level of the new grade, whichever is higher. If there is an approved Labor Market Rate for the new position, the salary could be increased to that rate upon approval of the department. If a position is reclassified to a non-classified title, the salary is adjusted at the discretion of the department, not to exceed the Line Item Maximum for that title. If a position is reclassified to a lower classified grade, the incumbent’s salary would remain the same.
