How convenient/practical is it to swap between vehicles?

We babysit our grandchild a good bit. We currently have our own base that accepts the rear-facing car seat shared by all. It’s very easy to just pop that seat into and out of the base, making sharing a carseat very practical. He’s outgrowing the seat and it’s time to change to a front facing seat now. Will this Graco car seat be as easily mobile between vehicles and therefore practical to share, or should we consider having our own car seat as well?
