How Confidential is the Medical Records Summary?

0

This is a document that you intend to be available to Doctors or medical advisors. It can be an invaluable aid to them in helping you. However, the information is also available to anyone authorised or unauthorised who finds it. When completing the Quick Start Wizard, or adding or amending entries you will see a box to tick if you want that item to appear on the Medical Record Summary. The default is that information does not automatically appear on the Medical Records Summary or the Front Line Medical Alert Card. If you have a condition that is vital to life in an emergency you should tick the box to ensure that it appears on Medical Records Summary and Front Line Medical Alert Card. You may also withdraw such access at any time by ticking the appropriate box which toggles permissions on or, in this case, off.
