How confidential are the sessions?
Nothing you say is revealed to anyone else without your specific consent. As a registered member of the BACP I am bound by its Ethical Frame work for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy (click here to view). I am in regular professional supervision to monitor the counselling work I do and present my work as cases not as identifiable individuals. Exceptional Circumstances: The only time confidentiality would be breached is if we thought there was a danger of you committing harm to yourself or to another – especially, though not exclusively, if a child or children might be at risk.
