How common is it to have bladder weakness after childbirth?

0

I think it’s super common! Forget bladder weakness… for the first week or two after giving birth I had no bladder control whatsoever. I just couldn’t find my muscles down there. When my son was a few days old, I suddenly needed the toilet whilst grocery shopping 5 mins away from my house. I froze in the middle of the shop and literally couldn’t take a step as I know I’d go! I had baby in a sling at the time too… luckily I managed to gather myself and run all the way home to pee. Both my close friends with young children experienced the same thing… and told me! It does get better though… well, mine got better just in time before I fell pregnant again! My son is 13 months and I’m 8 weeks pregnant and diving to the loo all over again.
