How comes a pair of talentless twins are going to win a singing contest?
Oh come on. Everyone knows by now that the X-Factor is semi-rigged for the contestant with the biggest market potential. This time round, I think it is either Olly or Joe. Two distinctive looking twins probably won’t have much market potential outside of the X-Factor bubble, and may be good for a novelty song. They are popular at the moment because they are in a talent show with an opinionated main judge, and they are hacking him off. People keep them in each week to see the look on Simon’s face. You can almost guarantee that as soon as Dermot reads out John and Edward, the camera will pan towards Simon to get a look at his incredulous and disbelieving facial expression. Take them out of the X-Factor and I don’t think they would last all that long as the proof of the pudding is ultimately in the eating. All that said, I do like their performances, and look forward to their song each week!
