How come you can survive in space with a astronaut suit on then?
Astronaut suits DO NOT have a “shield” on them that protects you from the “coldness of space”. Actually, they have a heater attached, like a small hair dryer, blowing hot air into the space suit. What is MORE likely, though, is that the heat from the astronauts body will build up inside the space suit. In fact, the space suits ALSO carry an Air Conditioner, to keep the astronaut from getting too hot. The COLDNESS of space is NOT the question. Fact is, where astronauts have already gone (in orbit around the earth, and to the moon) space is NOT all that cold, In fact, most projects (like space shuttle and space station) have problems being TOO HOT. But this problem is made easier because both space shuttle and space station orbit the earth every 90 minutes — which means that for 45 minutes they are in hot DAYLIGHT and for 45 minutes they are in cold NIGHTTIME.
