How come theres so few yaoi/shounen-ai series if its so popular?
Several reasons, to my knowledge. 1) Logically speaking, I’ve kind of noticed that Japan tends to be more conservative than other countries. (Please don’t be offended by that) 2) A lot of anime gets gay or lesbian romantic material screened out of it to make it more “appropriate.” For instance, they’ll make two lovers into “friends.” It’s annoying, but these things happen… What a rip-off! Yup.
