How come theres a mothers and fathers day in the united states but not a childrens day?Are we not important?
Mothers or fathers day is the one day the whole world gets to thank them for every thing they do for us.Plus everyday is kid day, are moms and dads give most every thing they own to us. Trust me, I would love nothing more to have another day to get a present. I know you did not want to hear that children’s day is everyday but ….it is.Plus went we turn into parent we will get that day too.
mothers and fathers have a special day because of all the sacrifices we make for our children. Most children would not find an excuse to do anything special for thier parents without a holiday. I know my children are pretty oblivious to what I do for them on daily basis. Just as an example…last weekend I had some sort of allergic reaction and my eyes swelled almost shut, yet I still prepped hubby and the 2 older kids for a camping trip including shopping for food and packing thier cooler, packing meds for my child with autism, packing my husbands toiletry kit, then took my 3 year old out for lunch and a movie. Do you think I even got a “thanks mom”? NOPE. And what about the week that I had 6 meetings/appointments in 5 days for my boys. I DESERVE 2 days a year ( my birthday and mothers day) to relax and not bust my butt running the house.
When you become a parent you will understand how much we are under appreciated for everything that we do. It is nice to have a day where you can feel appreciated for all the little things. And once again, when you become a parent all Birthday’s and Christmas’s are all about the kids along with every other day of the year. So to answer your question, yes my children are important, that is why everyday of my life revolves around them and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
