How come the slideshow takes so long to load?

Because the slideshow is an JAVA based program, it takes longer for the browser to download its configurations. Also, because there are many photos loaded into the slideshow, each of the pictures must be fully loaded before the entire slideshow can be seen. For a 33.4K modem, it takes approximately 3min. to fully load. On a 56K connection, it takes approximately 90sec. to fully load.
