How come the only good films Kevin Costner have ever made are the ones involving baseball?
Say what you will about Kevin Costner, the dude clearly knows his baseball. That’s the only reasonable explaination I can think of for his baseball movies not sucking like the rest of his work (“Waterworld” exlcuded). Compare his pitching motion in “For Love of the Game” to Tim Robbin’s in “Bull Durham.” It drives me crazy when I watch a baseball movie and can’t believe that an actor would actually play well (i.e. Dennis Quaid in “The Rookie”).
