How come the nutritional information in Nutrition Facts doesn’t match the nutrition label on a given food?
There are several reasons why they may not match. 1) Make sure the serving sizes are the same. The default in Nutrition Facts is 100g, unless otherwise stated. 2) The foods may have been prepared differently, accounting for the differences. 3) Certain foods have variance based on where cultivated, and other factors. 4) Nutrition Facts provides more detailed data than most food labels, so due to rounding, the values may not match, or 5) One of the labels is wrong. Use the label affixed to the packaging when in doubt.
