How come the Frangipani Absolute does not smell like Frangipani Flowers?
A. Essential Oil, Absolutes and CO2 Extracts are concentrated plant material. They will never smell exactly like the flower in bloom because these extracts are in a concentrated form. You will need to dilute the oil to capture the more natural scent characteristic of the plant or flower. Please note: each extraction method also captures different chemical constituents of the plant or flower. The CO2 extract will smell different than an essential oil or absolute. Body Mist Spray – Add 8-12 drops of essential oil or essential oil blend to a one ounce, glass, and fine mist spray bottle. Fill the remainder of the bottle with distilled water. Shake the bottle well before each use. Be sure to check the safety precautions about the essential oils. Do not use a plastic bottle. Essential oils will erode the plastic.
