How come some websites cost $100 and others cost $4,000?
Website pricing is more an art than a science. A price like $4,000 takes into consideration the programs the designer has to use to create the technical end of the site, as well as the time spent to design the artwork on the site. In many cases, those are two or three different people doing two or three different jobs. So, sites get expensive when you’re dealing with a marketing or branding firm that has to cover the labor of multiple artists, coders, and marketing professionals. Swing the pendulum the other way, and you have sites that cost $100 that are generated by a computer from a database of templates. A lot of actors use these, but truth be told, they look like crap and they’re hard to manipulate to get you the look you really want.
