How come some songs seem to take longer to get released?

The entire process from deciding on a song until it is actually released can take upwards of 6-8 weeks! Basically we have to get it approved, record it, manufacture it and finally ship it. So even though we may have decided to use a certain song you won’t see it for another 6-8 weeks.
