How come no one before her was able to show that therapeutic touch doesn work?
Lucy: People wouldn’t participate in any experiments. But since Emily is just a little girl, they didn’t take her seriously and agreed to participate. Ann: Ha! That ought to teach people to take women and girls seriously. I hope she’s thinking about becoming a scientist. She sure has a good start. Lucy: I hope so, too. We need more women in science.
