How come my disc drive stopped working after I ran Uniblue Registry Booster 2?

Q: I recently ran uniblue registry booster 2 as a scan and it disabled my disc drive. I opened uniblue again and tried the ‘restore’ what had been deleted but it made no difference, my disc drive still not working. I’m sure it was because of the uniblue scan. I’m using Windows XP and the computer is a Dell Inspiron. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
