How come my craigslist reply email is outlook express and not yahoo mail?
Whenever you click on one of those e-mail links, it will open your default mail client application (For most people, that is Outlook Express; for me it is Thunderbird). IT WILL NOT OPEN A WEBSITE! Yahoo Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, and many other popular ones are WEBmail; there *is* a difference. The difference if that webmail is meant to be accessed from the Internet. I cannot log into Hotmail and get anything sent to the Inbox that my ISP gave me. Those links do NOT work with webmail, at least not directly. When you get home and go to unlock the door, does your car start when you turn the key in the lock on your front door? It’s kind of like that. Those links are meant for e-mail, not webmail; they open a program, not a web page. Depending on how you have it set up, you *can* access some webmail servers through Outlook Express. I think Yahoo Mail and Gmail have that ability (AFAIK, Hotmail does not) though it’s tricky to configure unless you have a little bit of computer skill. I will see i
