How come limes have no seeds and lemons do?

Im not a botanist or any “ist” that has anything to do with plants but I know fruit are just a means of transporting seeds. Perhaps lime seeds are the same colour as the “flesh” of the lime, or whatever the inside is called. If limes really are seedless then they cannot be classified as Fruit as far as I know. –BR Ninja15 14:26, 19 May 2009 (UTC) i don’t know if all limes have no seeds but many genetically modified plants are made to not produce seeds as well as having many other properties that don’t match with the original plant, according with their usefulness in trade.
