How come I get strange colors on my monitor when running Windows 7 in bootcamp?

Q: I have some some strange color defect when running Windows 7 in bootcamp. I’ve had no problems with the system until now but now it has some strange problem where it looks like there are layers of color. I’m using a 27 inch monitor and the problem seems to have happened after a major bootcamp update.
