How come I can feel my chest muscles burning when Im doing a bench press?

The small muscles in the bench press are in the shoulders, you will have to go a long way to make them big enough so that the weak link is your pecs. Instead go to a decline (head lower) bench to load your pecs more. On the bench, pinch your shoulder blades before lifting the weight and keep your grip at or inside your shoulders for greater load on your pecs. Or use dumbells. Also try using the pec deck to isolate the pecs. I get a good pec burn when I do three sets on the peck deck. Higher seat position loads the lower pecs more, a lower seat position raises the arms and works the upper and outer pecs more.
