How come enlargements are so expensive and why do they take so long to produce?
When you buy an enlargement from me, you aren t buying the piece of paper the image is printed on, as you would if you take your 35mm film to the local one hour lab. You are buying my additional artistic ability and technical expertise: each image is custom cropped, retouching is done, horizons straightened, subjects centered, etc. And the image is checked for quality every step of the way: from production in the studio, to production at the lab, then back at the studio again before the image is sent to you.
