How come BLOOD OF THE DEMON contains so much violence?
Has the Demon had a history of being a violent series? JB: Contextually, yes. Kirby’s Demon — frankly, the only one that matters, as it is the only one (until now) that was true to the original concept — was published when the Comics Code was in full vigor, but it nevertheless contained a great deal of violent action and mayhem, as well as what were, for the time, really scary images. My version hits about the same level, albeit for a different time and a different audience.
