How come blacks in America, IN GENERAL, look so different than blacks in Africa?
Intermixing with whites during slavery. This isn’t talked about much in the history books but white men and black women had lots of sex during slavery times, most of the sex was unwilling on part of the woman. The children produced from these relationships are naturally going to look different from their ancestors back in Africa and even their offspring generations later are still going to have a look that different from their ancestors in Africa. Also, many blacks mixed with Native Americans, another thing that isn’t talked about much in history, which is another reason why many blacks look different from Africans. Simply put, American blacks are simply a blend of different cultures and ethnic groups. That’s why many of us look different than Africans.
