How come Billings is always doing studies and yet nothing changes?
There probably are many reasons for this, but it does seem like I often read about some new study for traffic on 24th or similar items that seem to be repeated. I think the city really needs to have a long term plan in place and though it may require revisiting the direction, overall the waste from reoccurring studies is just that, waste. If we as a city can commit to our direction this waste would end. • How come parts of the city still have gravel streets?I recently asked this question too. This is due to the annexation plan(s) of Billings. We have and continue to annex property that was once part of the county as our sprawl increases. I think since I live next to an annexed area, and see how often road maintenance is performed, perhaps the city can save on costs by paving without curbs and sewage those older annexed areas. I believe that due to the savings the city may consider this not to be a SID’d item but a cost savings investment on the city’s part. • What are your thoughts on
