How come a quick access button is inactive and appears faded out?
When certain information about a contact is missing, such as email address, telephone number or IM, the corresponding quick access button will appear faded and you won’t be able to click through. You can easily fix this by adding the relevant information to your contact’s details; simply click “options” and “edit” to edit the contact’s information. For example, when you update a contact’s IM field, you can then activate the IM account to chat with him/her via IM.
