How close to a project’s commencement date may an application be received and still be eligible for funding?
It has been Agri-Futures Nova Scotia’s policy for any project which is received by Agri-Futures Nova Scotia prior to the commencement date of the project to be eligible for consideration by the Board. Clients of Agri-Futures Nova Scotia, however, also have a standard contractual requirement to acknowledge the contribution of Agri-Futures Nova Scotia and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada with regard to project activities. For Pillar III projects, such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and the like, Agri-Futures Nova Scotia now requires that all such applications be received at least two months prior to the event to allow time for the project to be considered by the Board, and, if approved, for the applicant to ensure acknowledgement of AFNS and AAFC in project materials and content.
