How clean Bones Reds bearings for skateboards?
I Bones Reds skateboard bearings and generally just spray WD40 in / on / around them and spin them a bit and then spray again and let it dry before putting them back in my wheels, then spraying again with WD40. Is there a good way to deep clean / LUBE them? Also, if instructions on how to remove Shields (only because his face red). Thank you! Take the shields on the Red bone, or rubber shielded bearing, gently pry off with a razor blade or a small pin. Be careful not to bend the shields. Take your time and work them prying around the bearing. To clean, soak the bearings with the shields off in denatured alcohol for several hours. Stir several times during the soak. Do not use cleaners with water-based, they can rust your bearings. Many cleaners containing oil can leave a film on the bearings which can attract dirt, or crash the lubricant.
