my school has blocked pretty much most proxies also. i found that at my school you can go to the mobile sites of most sites like that without a problem. i.e. www.m.myspace.com www.m.facebook.com www.m.gmail.com etc etc. you can not access all functions but it should be decent to keep distracted at school.
