How Can You Say That Panda Is An Endangered Specie?
There are a number of reasons why the population of Pandas is declining and is endangered, the most significant of which is the unique diet. Pandas eat and rely on predominantly two species of the bamboo plant, namely arrow and umbrella bamboo. These pandas were at one time numerous and roamed much of China. These pandas now number less than two thousand. In the earlier days Pandas used to shift from one area when the bamboo population got depleted in one area. As human population grew and the habitats of the Panda were encroached upon it had difficulty in finding its staple food. Pandas are not prolific breeders either and give birth to mostly one cub at a time. The Panda is now a symbol the world over of endangered species and is being cloned as well in an attempt to save it from extinction.
