How can you refurbish dried out craft wood?

I guess I don’t understand what you mean by “dried out”, if your craft wood has a finish on it, strip it, if it has never been used thats good, if its solid wood you want the moisture in the wood very low, (8% moisture content or less) if its manufactured craft wood (plywood) that has a bow or warp, apply heat or steam (just enough time to soften laminate glue) and set on a flat surface with weight on top of the piece(s), if wood is crack or split, apply glue an clamp, if checked, apply wood-filler, remember: you want dry wood to begin your project, if you do a project with wet wood and apply a finish, when the wood dries out it will split and ruin your project(s). Good-Luck!
