You need Steam to play CS online unfortunately, make sure you download all the updates for steam and make sure it recognizes your game is loaded. Dont install steam through the game go to steam.com and download it and have it search your hard drive for games. I still play the original CS and love it but you will get games with alot of bots because not many people play it anymore. Best thing to do is go out and get the CS-CZ game it comeswith the original CS and you can play both. Good Luck and happy gameing.
