How can you find out how and what types of cases a attorney has won in Florida?
I’ve been a Florida attorney for five years and I cannot find out. As to the types of cases an attorney handles, the best source for that information is the attorney. If an attorney is “Board Certified” by the Flroida Bar, then he has demonstrated a certain anount of experience and education in a specialized area. Board Certification is not offered in every area of the law. “AV” ratings by MartindaleHubbel (www.martindale.com), a private organization, indicate other attorneys in the same location as the one you are investigating thisnk that attorney is well qualified. However, the individual attorney may have received her AV rating because of her past representations of accident victims and you may need an easement attorney. MartindaleHubbel will not tell you WHY she received the AV rating. How and why an attorney “wins” depends upon each individual case. I vary my tactics according to the facts and the applicable law.
