How can you explain to someone who thinks this reality isnt real, that it is?
You can’t prove it. You perceive reality through your senses, so if all your senses were somehow ‘at fault’ then what you perceived wouldn’t be ‘real’. The way to test if something is ‘real’ is generally by seeing if other people agree with you on certain things. On the other hand, if you see a plane and everyone else you see doesn’t, it could indicate the plane isn’t real and it’s just your eyes. But it could also be that they are all behind a wall or something so can’t see past the wall. There is no foolproof way to prove reality. You could probably convince your friend that the question is pointless and not worth worrying about, because even if it isn’t real as such, all the evidence suggests that it is the only reality they are ever likely to experience. Therefore it’s this reality they should really being worrying about, not any other possible ones because they will probably never experience them, know nothing about them anyway and so there’s no way to prepare properly for them if
