How can you enter a yugioh world tournament?
You have to go through the whole tournament ladder first. You can’t just say “hey, I want to join a national tournament” and join. You have to prove that you’re worth them letting you enter. It starts with “Regional” tournaments, which are held locally for your city. Large cities may even have more than one. These are open to anyone, for a small fee. All the regionals I went to were only 5$ to enter. If you are in the top three at the regional, you are invited to the “National” tournament. You must pay for your own transportation to the location, which pretty much shuts out children from participating. Even though I was invited to the national level twice, I never went – I’m not going to spend hundreds of dollars to fly cross country to play a card game, sorry. If you are in first place at the national tournament, you are invited to the World tournament, where ever it may be. This, typically, is payed for by the company sponsoring it.
