How can you crate train a 5 month old maltipoo???
yes you can crate train your puppy. I am amazed how people use a crate for punishment – wrong; we all know that the dog has to select the perfect spot to go and sometimes needs some time to do his, her business. Don’t put her back in the crate b/c she didn’t go ; give her sometime, bring her in and let her go out to try again; not everyone can pee on command. Be patient; leave the crate door open and place treats and toys inside, let your pup go in and out to get use to the crate; place something comfy to lay on to make the crate the best spot for comfort; once your pup is comfortable with the crate, allow her to stay for short period of time with door closed, expand the time and soon the puppy will seek out her special spot on her own; leave toys to stimulate when you are out ; king kong with treats, everlasting treat balls etc ; rotate the toys so she won’t get bored; give her a lot of exercise prior to leaving her in the crate and make sure she has gone to the bathroom as well; don’
