How can you convert mp3 CD into regular CD so I can listen songs in my car ?
MP3 is what is called a “lossy” format. In other words, to make the file smaller than a NON-lossy format (like .WAV) it leaves some audio information out. Depending on your bitrate, it leaves out more or less. .WMA is also a “lossy” format. To have your CD playable in MOST car CD players, the individual files on the CD-R need to be in .WAV. You can go to Tucows (see below) and find a freeware program that will do that. However, keep in mind several things: 1) .WAV files are a LOT bigger…you’ll only be able to get about 14 songs on 1 CD (if they’re 70s era and later, when songs usually run about 4 minutes each) or about 20-25 if they’re from the 60s and earlier (when songs were usually around 2 to 2 1/2 minutes long) 2) You WILL lose some quality converting the .MP3 back to .WAV. If you have access to the original source CDs, you’ll get a lot better sound by just re-ripping the tracks you want as .WAV this time and then burning it as an “audio CD” in your CD burning software.
iTunes could do this. http://apple.com/itunes/download Put music you want into iTunes & then make a playlist & put the music in there. Then right click the playlist & select Burn Playlist to Disc. When the box pops up select Audio CD & whatever other settings & then it’ll burn. NB though that Audio CDs do not hold as much songs on it as a MP3 CD does. Where a MP3 CD could hold hundreds an Audio CD could only hold at least 17-22 songs. You have no choice in this matter, but expect this.
