How can you change hair color with Photo Shop?
Changing the color is not extremely hard – you can use a color balance layer and play with the settings. If the color is too extreme or bright, you can apply a hue/saturation layer and lower the saturation slider. Play with hue/saturation and color balance layers until you have your desired hair color. The problem is you’re going to change the color of the whole image. You have to select the hair first. If the hair is in a bun (like a solid mass), it may be possible to use the extract filter, or if you learn how to use the pen tool (not easy for beginners), you may be able to select the hair. But in a lot of cases, hair is clashing with the background. The best way I’ve read to select hair is using alpha channels. Color images have a certain amount of red. blue and green information that you can look at (using the Alpha palette and selecting the individual RGB layers).
