How can you be sure Osmocote products release predictably?

Nutrients releasing too fast or not fast enough, can almost always be traced back to one or more of these factors: product selection, rate selection and soil temperature. Nutrient release increases as the soil temperature rises and decreases as soil temperatures cool. Different crops are able to best utilize nutrients only during certain points in their growth cycle.
