How can you access the service in Merthyr Tydfil?
If you are over 18, living in the area of Merthyr Tydfil, have problematic substance misuse and have been involved with the criminal justice system, you can be referred to DIP by: • CARATs or prison staff • DIP teams in custody suites • Police • Probation • Local substance misuse services Service User Involvement Service user involvement has gone from strength in Merthyr Tydfil. Service users were asked to contribute suggestions on how the team could assist in improving the health and wellbeing of those attending the project. In September, meal deal of the week started. Once a week, the team put a meal idea to feed four people for £5 or under on the service user boards. Even if clients live alone, they can eat the remainder the next day, freeze the extra or invite friends around. This was inspired by our four big supermarkets! Dental hygiene was identified as problematic for many of our service users. A proactive member of the team sourced a Dental Hygienist to visit the project. This
