How Can Winky Wright Beat Paul Williams?
I don’t think this one is possible. I think this is Wright cashing in on one last paycheck before retirement. He is in his late thirties and hasn’t fought for almost a year. His only advantage was using his long arms and stiff jab to keep opponents off him and score points but Williams has that same advantage with a long reach himself. Williams is also a harder hitter with more knockouts. Williams is also much younger and hungrier looking to prove himself in a third weight class. Quintana only beat Williams because he took him lightly and didn’t prepare properly. But look at what happened in the rematch between them, first round knockout. I would bet my house on Williams and would be very impressed if an old and past his prime Wright fighting without his reach advantage for the first time could beat him.
