I say this based on notions of our accepted norms of behavior in society. For example, we expect a punk-rocker to be part of a band, making music for a living. His attire is that of dyed, spiked hair, specific clothing for a punk image, chains and so on. He would not be seen as part of the white-collared, briefcase carrying investment banker. An investment banker on the other hand, is usually thought of to be a clean-shaven person, dressed in a suit with a tie, completed with a briefcase and of course, neat hair.
