Teenage obesity is a dangerous — and growing — problem. But what can you do about it? Plenty. Turn your concern about your teenager’s weight into action. There’s no magic bullet for teen weight loss. The key to success is adopting healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Start with a heart-to-heart If your teen is overweight, he or she is probably concerned about the excess weight, too. Aside from lifelong health risks such as high blood pressure and diabetes, the social and emotional fallout of being overweight can be devastating for a teenager. Offer support and gentle understanding — and a willingness to help your teen take control of the problem. You might say, “I can’t change your weight. That’s up to you. Make drive-thru’s ILLEGAL! Make working out a law! 3 times per wk!!! Stop selling JUNK FOOD in markets/stores *** I was in Costa Rica last year and I only saw 1 person overweight! Every single person I saw was thin and gorgeous! All women are super sexy and wear tight jeans. I also noticed that they don’t have drive thru joints in every corner like we do here. Also, people WALK WALK WALK and eat lots of fruit! In this Country…we drive drive drive! Most Latin American Countries and Europe…people are skinny. THE SECRET IS THAT THEY WALK AND EAT HEALTHIER THAN WE DO! If you don’t agree, obviously you don’t get OUT and have not traveled enough to see how WELL other people live and look!

People “do” obesity to themselves. They choose to be inactive and overeat. I’m not judging, I’m overweight myself. There’s nothing the goverment or any agency can do to stop it. It really is a personal issue. We tried stopping people from smoking marijuana in this country, didn’t work. We tried prohibition, didn’t work. We tried to get rid of street violence in the inner city and guess what…it’s still a problem. Things like that, and obesity, are personal decisions. The best thing we can do is educate people about the risks. I also think that “healthy food” should cost less than processed junk foods. It’s crazy chicken breasts and fresh broccoli cost more than a Super Value meal. But in the end, it’s a personal decision for most of us to be obese. An agency can’t stop that. The goverment can’t stop that. It’s up to the people to realize how they’re harming they’re bodies, all we can do is educate them along the way.

We can stop genetically modifying our produce and pumping our livestock with hormones and steroids. I travel the world and we really don’t eat more than our foreign counterparts; we do however fill ourselves with these hormones and steroids when we eat our domestic food supply. Come on…. 80% of our countries population is obese! If anyone is trying to convince you that 80% of us are overeating pigs, then think again…. Oh, and by the way, whenever I travel abroad, I lose weight.

1. Shut down every fast food restaurant in the US. 2. Shut down every food company that makes junk food. 3. Make car/and or gas prices higher so more people will walk. Or just get something to get America to come to their senses that obesity is a problem and it causes many health problems.
